image USS Potomac The “Floating White House” was originally commissioned the USCG Cutter Electra in 1934.  In 1936 it was renamed the USS Potomac and served as Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Presidential Yacht until his death in 1945. $5 million was spent over a 12-year period to restore the 165-foot-long vessel as a memorial to the president who authored the New Deal and led the United States during the Great Depression and the World War II years. The USS Potomac, berthed in Oakland, California is open for dockside tours, scheduled cruises, as well as private events for 70-100 of Your invited guests.

The harbor inspection tug, Baltimore , is the oldest operating steam-powered, coal-fired tugboat in the US. The ship was built in 1906 by the Skinner Shipbuilding Company in Baltimore, Maryland at the base of Federal Hill. The hull is constructed of riveted iron and the deckhouse is built of wood.
